Kathy has 17 years of experience working with FileMaker, 24 years of experience in the computer industry. Kathy has worked in the Information Systems departments of large corporations, including KPMG (Accounting Firm) and TransCanada Pipelines in Toronto. Before entering the computer field full-time, Kathy worked as an oil & gas geologist for Shell Oil in Calgary, Alberta and as a mining geologist for Noranda in British Columbia. She maintains a strong interest in outdoor wilderness pursuits.
How Do We Start?
On our first visit, we conduct a business analysis interview which usually takes 3-4 hours. We look at the current state of your business and discuss your long-range goals. We examine your existing systems, including hardware, software, paper systems and current database systems.
We then write up a document outlining our understanding of your business, its' burning issues and its' future goals with your priorities for enhancements. We charge a flat-fee of $400 for this initial interview and analysis. If you decide to continue using us to consult on the design of your information systems, we credit the $400 in full.
